A working meeting was held in the Macedonian Parliament with the President of the Parliamentary Commission for European Affairs, Mr. Arber Ademi, at which the Director of the Slovenian AIPA, Mr. Gregor Štibernik, was also present.
It was discussed the process of harmonizing European and domestic legislation, especially in the area of copyright and related rights, as well as the issue of immediate resolving the long-standing issue with the Governmental Commission for mediation in copyright and related rights.
It was jointly concluded that AZAS must continue courageously in their demands for a smooth and official start with operational work, in the interest of its domestic and international members.
The representatives of AZAS, Kiril Gjozev and Kastriot Avdili, emphasized that the commitment to legal and transparent operation remains a priority and they hope that in the next period the Government will finally dare and form the Commission, which has been inactive and incomplete for less than five years, in order to review and approve the AZAS Tariff.
