Bilateral Cooperation Agreement between AZAS and AIPA

Within the framework of the two-day visit to North Macedonia, the Director of AIPA, Mr. Gregor Štibernik together with the newly appointed President of AZAS, Mr. Kastriot Avdili, signed a bilateral Cooperation Agreement between the two collective organizations.

Štibernik stated that: “this Agreement protects the rights of authors, performers and producers of audiovisual works in Slovenia and North Macedonia and opens the possibility for joint performance at various projects, initiatives, conferences, festivals and other events.

Kiril Gjozev from AZAS pointed out that AIPA, as a leader in the region, has once again shown its commitment for cooperation and promotion of smaller collective organizations from the Balkans: “this Agreement shows the commitment to mutual and international protection of the rights of its members – Slovenian and Macedonian authors, performers and producers of audiovisual works.  These organizations exist for their members and only through joint collaborations and performances we can more easily and simply collect them and accordingly distribute them to our members in a timely manner”, noted Gjozev.

The representatives of AIPA and AZAS announced an intensive summer in which the official start of operational work of AZAS is expected, in the interest of Macedonian and international authors, performers and producers of audiovisual works.
