GOALS AND VISION
- To protect the interests of the holders of the rights they manage by monitoring their use in the Republic of Macedonia and abroad;
- To carry out legal-administrative work for the benefit of the rights holders, to communicate and collect funds from the users, and to conduct possible proceedings before the courts and other authorities with the aim of – protecting copyright and related rights for this group of holders;
- To adopt and publish general acts for the collection and distribution of fees from the use, following the law;
- To conclude agreements with appropriate organizations in the country and abroad;
- To transfer a non-exclusive right to use copyrighted works and objects of related rights by contract or in another written way;
- To collect and distribute the maximum of the determined fees from the users and carry out their distribution to the holders of the rights, following the law and general acts;
- To request from the user’s information and documents necessary for determining the amount of compensation for using the rights;
- To exercise control over the use of the author’s works, that is, objects of related rights;
- To ensure internal control, accountability, and responsibility of the bodies and persons for the matters under their authority, following the law and general acts;
- To provide and enable publicity of the operation (ensures access of the rights holders to the information on the use of the rights, on the collected funds, and the distribution, according to the law and the statute of the organization);
- To provide and enable insight into the operation and data by the rights holders, in a manner, in the scope and under conditions determined by the law and general acts of the organization;
- To provide and maintain spatial, personnel, and other conditions determined by this law, for the successful performance of the work.
Copyright and Related Rights Protection Association AZAS is a Macedonian organization for collective management of copyright and related film rights, in accordance with the LCRR, the Statute and Permission of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Macedonia.
